I was told that I owe it to my son

to have botox because I was 49 when I gave birth to him.  'What do you mean?' I asked this floozy toozy of late twenties and mother of moulting geniuses in country NSW.

'I mean' and here she strutted her stuff, hands on hips, 'that you .....need to know,' she points a finger in my face and wags it back and forth like a pendulum with an Amphetamine addiction,'that if youre gunna have a kid when youre nearly fifty.....it ain't fair to the kid and the least you can do is look decent for him. Think what the other kids are gunna say when Yewww pick him up from school!'

Then having done her duty as a dutiful citizen of the nation and a loyal community member she turns her back on me and wheels her kids quickly away from the sight a woeful woman who had a child at the decrepid age of 49. 'Poor little boy!' I heard her mutter to another mother whose fresh 20 + face was glamourously pancaked with two inches of Max Factor and her natural features had been enhanced with with Revlon products like luscious longer lashes, Earth Spring tints for lids and where nature had failed her miserably in the eyebrow department - she had gleefully compensated by shaving them off and redrawing them to a more significantly surprising design of her own making.

Sigh ..... well ... what can I say ...
ok, I would and have done it once ... restalyn.  Expensive little endeavor.  I'm not sure I will do it again ...ok, yes I am sure I would - but never under the knife.  I had to laugh at your blog - you are a delightful writer.  I have to run and read the new one!

What, no metamucil? You know, it comes in handy little single servings.....many flavors. lol  I agree w/ aging gracefully but, imagine how it must feel to be in the public eye. Like Priscilla Presley (on Dancing w/ the Stars currently). What the heck is she thinking? Enough already!
