Re: Funny story, ubrut4, we who lack information either appear to be
foolish, or bring smiles to crowds of people in the know....I like your story, too.

Re: funny story
kmer, I think that this is true, except for the totally full of themselves, they do want to be treated like just another human being. They probably don't find that often enough in their lives.

Re: Funny, yes.
azur, I have always taught my children what my father taught me, to treat everyone the same. It makes important the smaller of us beings and, if desired, encourages the big and powerful to stop for a minute longer to speak.
My friend spoke with a super model on her plane for hours because they only talked about their daughters.
I surprised a fellow from De La Soul decades ago by, being a white older woman, asking for his autograph for my youngest son (and pointed at him across the airline waiting room, staring but too shy to come over, he sent me, when I said the name of the fellow, recognizing him) and actually knowing the lyrics to all the songs on his album, when he asked if I was for real. Made him laugh.....
I cannot gush over famous people because not long before they were you and I....just luckier or more talented or ambitious.

That's too funny! It reminds of when we 'inadvertantly' had dinner with the Miami Dolphins this past December in Buffalo, New York!
I had no idea who they were... Just looked like bunch of large men threatening to kick Tom Brady's butt. Me being a Pat's fan perked up and started to say something but luckily my husband stopped me. Once he explained who they were, I decided it was in my best interest to not say a word, lol

funny story
It is a funny story and good for her for not knowing, at least until after. Everyone deserves to be treated like a normal person, whatever that is!

Funny, yes.
I think well-known people find it refreshing to meet people who do not fall at their feet.
