People will beat up Obama no matter what he says about race.

We are a nation of touchy touchy touchy people on that subject.

We make these Bridge Between the Races Children choose one shoreline.

My son was allowed to have the friends that he chose naturally from his neighborhood and classmates as he grew up, but when he hit highschool, people turned him into a black young man and classmates that hadn't been his friend his whole life attacked him and made him Pick One.

I admired him when he finally aged enough to tell the whole world to go to hell and once again chose his friends by their character and not by their race. But, he was just being real when younger, dealing with a reality that only he lived daily.

I forgive ALL of us our stupidities, our prejudices, our fears of one another. We are a scarey society and have every right to fear each other occasionally, especially those of us who study history, both sides of the racial history of the world.

Examples are what we use to elucidate Others.....to our reality. Allow Obama his examples without pecking him to death for his anecdotes, they are his, not ours and he lives his life, we don't.

None of you, not one who criticizes heavily, has even tried to walk in his BRIDGING shoes. Get over yourselves. He Must speak of white Examples in anecdotes as we refuse to see the white in him, as usual, with our discriminating eyes. Forgive him his humanity and grow some more inside yourselves. Help him to form a stronger Bridge rather than hacking away at his foundations.

Kinda gives a new meaning to

Throw Grandma From The Train, doesn't it?

To answer your question, I'm voting McCain if Obama is the nominee. Thousands of Dems are going to do the same. No writing in Hillary's name or votes for Nader. My personal rationale is, better someone who took a bullet for his country than someone who's never lifted a finger for it!

Now Mr. Obamas campaign has made clear that his 84-year old grandmother, who has asked to be left alone, should be considered off-limits to political reporters.

But yesterday, it was Mr. Obama who didn't leave her alone when he used her for one of the central themes of his speech.

His behavior recalls the time when Bill Clinton regularly trashed his stepfather as a violent drunk as part of his 1992 campaign. The idea of talking about his stepfather's human frailties to advance himself politically struck many people then as a selfish act and a gross distortion of the loyalty family members owe to each other.

Corbin
That's pretty bizarre, sick, pathetic, absurd (not to mention a blatant lie and political maneuver).

He needs to get over it and be who he is. A little of both.  sam
