I totally hear ya! I mean, an Oscar for best sound effect mixer? Why don't I get an Oscar for best vet tech getting chewed alive by a nasty, f-ing Chihuahua as it crapped all over me and blew its anal glands on me while still maintaining my professionalism? Now THAT deserves a friggin' award. Of course, I don't think the Academy would be able to fit all that on the statue.

I also swear every year, 'not me, nope, I'm going to watch something else or nothing at all.' And there I am on the couch wishing I'd be congratulated for something, at least for being a mom, who made it to grand mother hood, a woman who made it through, well, a lot of womanly stuff, and perhaps I could be congratulated for writing on the blog too! Awe, I'm such a dreamer and a couch potato to boot
