Well, Cee, I'm gonna have to try that out.................
I have five young grandchildren (and a husband) who love cake.  I would never have thought of that though.

Kabu and John
I'm with you in losing weight and if I ate frosting straight from the can..... But if you ever bake a cake with canned frosting, I know you'll both remember!!

Hi again! You're welcome!  My brother is still blaming others for getting him there. It's hard to say anything to him without sounding smug or preachy but that's been a lifetime habit of his, of not taking responsibility for his actions.  He's got about 7 more years to reflect.

Well, there you go then - deviled eggs and twice baked potatoes, sans the frosting!  Since my household has embraced gluten-free, store-bought frosting is off my list, too.  But for those with classrooms or church potlucks, it will help stretch a lot of things - their dollars, their calories, their waistlines..... Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for leaving a comment to my blog entry
To this post. As brother If there was one thing I could tell him it would be to use his time of reflection to blast down the doors of failure

I don't do much with frosting as I don't much care for sweets.  I baked so many sweet goodies through the years for big family that I reached a point where I said, "YUCK" and decided that I'm not going to bake anymore cookies, cakes, pies.   But that does sound like a good idea.   What I really like though are the tips in your last post about the deviled eggs and twice-baked potatoes.  I'm going to try that--both.  It sounds like fun.

Just catching up on your remedies!
Cooked garlic is only for flavor....no therapeutic benefits. Added at the end of cooking, assures benefits.
