Odd I thought I was defending America.
Let's see -- they protect their border better, that lets some pressure off of our protecting ours.
But then again, we help Central American economy and that keeps down revolution and anti-American feeling so that we don't have to move into Central America like we've moved into Afghanistan and Iraq.
Odd you don't see how the U.S. economy suffers the more military action the U.S. takes.

and it's shorter than ours.
newest National Geographic covers that border and the many Central America, Asia, Africa, etc. people coming through there to come to the U.S. every day.
NO matter how strong the border, it will always be crossed.
Fix the economic situation and you fix the immigration policy.
Although the Nat Geo article mentioned that about 1/3 of the economy of some of those countries comes from relative in the U.S. sending money back.
Cut off the flow and you have a huge pool of poor people who might have to resort to other means to make a living. Means that would mean violence. Revolution. We'd probably have to send troops there too.

Corbin, I'm with Offy, who do we contact?
Our own people's needs are so high (of course, they must weed out the fraud, if they can), why would all our tax money go to the very people we want to keep out? Someone needs to give us some answers.

As you know, I am not easily shocked. But this is so astoundingly wrong, it leaves me almost speechless! Almost, but not completely. This information should be in every American's mailbox! And that should result in a firestorm of protest, to possibly bring Bush, his government and the rest of the Washington crowd to their senses. And it might restore my faith in the fundamentally sound sense of most Americans! And yes, as a Canadian I do have an interest in this matter, we share a continent and much of a culture...
And, just btw, if Lou Dobbs were running for president, I would come down there to vote! I'd just get myself a sombrero, dye my beard black, say 'si' a lot and pass for a Mexican, and I'd be okay, driver's license or no driver's licence...

I have to apologize to those who comment on my posts.....
When I am on the road, my time is limited to just finding things, posting them and off I go. I haven't been able to comment back like I would like to.......I am back home tonight for a day and then out again for 3.......but things should return to normal after Sunday.....
