excellent post Greenfields
I am always asked shy i would blogon a paid site with restricted access when ican blog for free to an unlimited audiance. I guess this is much like why people swim in a swimming pool when thy can swim in the sea: it's safer, calmer and you can control the enviroment you'r working in. but regardless of where, why, what you blog it remains liberating, challenging - and addictive.

I also Blog in the mornings. What was interesting in the programme was that they talked about 'serious' issues such as politics versus personal ones. And, it is people fromt he media that did this, just as they separate hard and soft news. So sad!

It's true, it did. Actually, if it's a choice between having a society talk about sex vs. not, I'd rather have the former. I feel it will plateau and become passe, soon.

Greenfields, it is horses for courses
It sounds like blogging offers a great deal to those people. And it's good that the programme was introducing it to a wider audience. I too have a low tolerance of tabloid style current affairs programmes with a strong agenda. I have long intended to
have a blog on an open site to accompany my professional writing. I use blogit like a morning page and for a bit of interaction about issues that don't fit into my journalism.

At best it did give exposure to blogging. I hope your young people do not experience a 60's situation with this new of sexual expression. sam
