Poor thing...
...you sound just like one of my daughters. I feel your pain but it's still funny because the same thing happened to my daughter, too. And it really was a toothpick, a broken one at that. Take care sweetie and be careful.

I didn't find anything, and it doesn't hurt anymore. So I'm thinking it might have been one of my cat's claws.

i hate shoes... they are always the first thing to come off when we come
home.... not to mention we can tell if we are stepping on a cat's tail or not barefooted

Euwww!
Does anyone sew in your house?  I've always heard about sewing needles causing havok, whether or not it was an urban legend in my mother's day or not, it's one of those things you think of when you get a sticker that won't appear and won't go away! Good luck!
