Last night I was watching Discovery channel and they were doing their program on Mt. Vesuvius...I thought of you right away, I remember you posting a picture and you titled it something like "Looking into the Mouth of Vesuvius"....I sure hope you kept those pictures..
When I first started on Blogit I would go to your post first for my daily feed of pictures and information. I remember so vividly you and Voyager kept me fascinated and dreaming of visiting all the places you photographed. I would study your pictures of Mt. Rainier and St. Helens...the pictures you took in the Tetons and around Puget Sound...Oh yes dear lady, you may have a very experienced eye now for your pictures but I don't know if you realize how much joy they give to us who are far less experienced...

Taps, thank you for the wonderful compliment and recognition!
I love taking pictures, and I love writing, but it is a special icing on the cake to hear that someone enjoys and finds value in it, too!

Middle of the night last night I was up and I spent a lot of time enjoying your photos and blog notes. I was to sleepy to leave a comment at that time, but I wanted to come back and tell you how much I admire you and how much I am fascinated by all that you do. Your photos always tell the story of just about anything that needs to be said. It is amazing what devastation can be done by one storm in a very short amount of time. Your photos here show just one place that has happened--Washington. It is unthinkable how much damage is done somewhere in our world every day. Keep up the good work.
