I have strange little conversations with my mom all the time about the
internet and computers. Like when she wanted to know who won Thursday night's NFL game. I told her I didn't know but I'd find out in a second. She asked if I was watching ESPN. I told her I didn't have to TV on. She said, "I thought you said you didn't watch it." I told her I didn't; I didn't even know it was on. She's asked how I was going to find out "in a second." I told her I was writing a paper online and I'd just click over to ESPN.com. She said, "But this game happened Thursday." I asked her what her point was. She said that they're not going to have Thursday's game on there. I told her they'd have that and every football game played this year on there. By this time, I had the page up and told her that Washington won and the score. She paused for a second and said, "Those things are pretty handy, huh?" Needless to say, my parents are part of the Flat Earth Society...
