devil, etc
Very interesting...what if there is no devil?  No oppositional entity to God?  Hmmm...enjoyed your thoughtful insights...Mari

saul---thank you for reading.  You bet.  If there's one thing that I think that all cultures, belief systems and ideals share across the board is this fact.  Self-awareness is the first step toward true healing.

The Devil Believes In God

I was so impressed with the foresight you experienced at the end of your piece. It confirms to me that there is a God when someone can realize they have goodness and are worthy because God gave them that right to be. Everything inside of you that is good is a part of God.

I wrote a song a long time ago called God Is Love, Love from the heart, when you show love, you show a part of God. I have yet to do something with that song :)

Thank you for being so kind and for visiting my site. I love There's No Other also. It was the first song we sang as a group and would have sounded just like that if Phil Spector had left it alone. We knew what we liked but Phil knew what he liked and he was paying the cost to be the boss.

I'm so glad I read your revelation and I hope others read it, too, and feel good about themselves. You're a wonderful young man.

Re: angesom, I'm not sure what you're suggesting here.
Did you really read my post?  Your objections are unclear, and I can't address them or agree/disagree with you when it's not clear what you're saying.

In short and small .. lets be logical .. that way we can all have something in common .. dont you think?

No, its not simple .. not at all .. I think the journey doesn’t end before it ends .. beginning been birth and death the end .. this is what I/we know .. nothing more .. so lets wait and die before we conclude how it should be .. how it is, we know if we're not in denial .. deadly .. how about that?

sam, that's about the size of it.
Thanks for reading...I hope you check out the book.  It's an unbelievable read.  Merton really got it.  The thing that strikes me is how universal he is.  Yes, he's a trappist monk, so his work is centered around the belief in God; his philosophies, however, delve far deeper into spiritual existence than anyone, and I think can be relevant to anyone that seeks truth.
