Macs and cheese...
But use some sour cream to help spread the cheese, throw in some left over meat and a half cup of frozen peas and corn.  I have been eating this for almost a week on and off.

We do that week in and week out...
I buy plenty of pasta and soup. I can make pretty much anything with that, and on my extremely small budget it stretches....that and I do greek yoghurt, banana and strawberry smoothies for breakfast, my daughter loves it.

Katie
As usual, this is excellent reading. I would be careful, though, of canned products. They are pretty much killed  in the preservation. There is also leaching of metal into the food. Last year I did a kitchen garden when I wasn't working. String beans, tomatoes, eggplant, broccoli, lettuce, cucumber and squash. A wood-chuck and I had a serious duel and he lost. Never bothered my plants again.

Katie, Most of the food you have listed there sounds like standard fare to
me. I guess it's due to making do for so long, it became natural living. On another note my smoothies usually consist of a banana and orange juice, or banana and pinapple.sometimes I splurge and make banan and strawberries. Hang in there. Thers will be a job coming any day now.
