I know there's been talk of it, but there is no real evidence for connecting the disappearance of bees to the use of cell phones...and these 'bee blights' have occurred in the past...

Re: Scriber
I don't know about the birds, but we have been having trouble aboutthe bees for a long time. If the birds are going too. It may be nobody needs to learn of their actions for production or reproduction. Who knows. Thanks for commenting.

Justi--verh strange; i notice there are few if any bees in my lawn or
flowers; and a lot fewer birds in last few years. I remember watching the bees in my flowers; and seeing major flocks of birds flying to and from my trees; wonder where they are?

Re: lindo
I am too. It is amazing how life went on with no more trouble without them, but I don't want to give mine up. I do understand and agree with you. What about the mosquito thingy? I have not heard that,

I agree it is that time. You know not all will come until they begin to beg to die and can't. Be blessed in your search.

Good post!
I had one of the first big ole buggers back in the early nineties when I was in real estate. I know there was something they added like a lead based something (I dunno) anyway, I experienced weird buzzing sounds in my head at night after having that thing in my head all day and I had really weird dreams about hearing voices. Honestly, it freaked me out. I left RE in 98 and I haven't owned a cell phone since. And you know the theory of the waves interfering with the bumble bee's honing skills has to be more than a theory, just like a lot of creatures, bats & radar and dolphins & whales and underwater sound waves, etc. I really think that theory could possibly pan out. And yes, it is a scary thought, but you know, the times....I'm not a doomsday sayer person but I do believe in God's living word and believe it's about time other's started believing it too, don't you? Blessings (& thanks for checking up on me)...I've been in sabbatical again, some spiritual growing pains going on but I'm fine.

I think the fast paced growth of information in the past twenty years has made a major difference in our ability to settle down and adapt. This will slow down and we can settle.

I think that technology often advances quicker than our capacity to deal with it, does. However the 50% optimist in me (the other half is realist), believes we'll adapt, eventually - and survive for a long, long time!

I don't really care for any kind of phone much. We are a spoiled society around the world for the most part,

cell phones are my pet hate. I keep one for emergencies only. They are a pest and yes probably are killing the bees.

Justi, this a very valid question. Somethings got to give with all the
extensive cellphone usage. four years ago I was still adamant Id never have a cellphone. Now it is attached to me 247 because of my kids always being away from home. I dont quite know how to not be available 247 anymore. On the rare ocassion Ive misplaced or broken my phone Iv experienced the most incredible freedom. I dont know what the answer is. Its like a Pandoras box. How do we put it back and shut the lid?

Justi, I hope it is a simple blight. I would certainly hate to have to
Choose between the two. Although it would be an easy choice. But that gets me to wonderingl what kind of leader would tackle the population over their cellulars?
George Bush type n doubt. I can just see Nancy Pelosi biting that bullet! Not.
