Life is funny all the way

We have our kids then rue the day

They make us old before out time

And leave us broke, take every dime

For years we worry and never sleep,

when trouble looms with them we weep

BUT....

The joy they bring is without measure

when they're gone we mourn at leisure.

We Parents Have It Rough
I know. I just hope they will not forget me.

When the kids grow they have a life of their own and parents are forgotten.
Nice poem.
