I enjoyed reading this - I like to think of God as "doing" as well as "being." Such a hard thing to put into words, you just have to feel it to know it, I think.

Thanks! I'm going to visit this space more and come from it as I deal with the world.

Yes, the incredible thing about it is the diversity of meaning.

I am very thankful that you have decided to elaborate more on Samuel's treachings. They are one of the first things I read when I take time to peruse other writing. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that the UK is suffering this type of weather. High wind and rain can wreak havoc on everything. Here we just had an ice storm, though it was not heavy enough to douse power. I am very thankful. Enjoy reading your posts, my friend.

We sometimes forget how to be simple, and stay with the meaning of it.

You are right about that, sir. I just opened this comment section and saw my dogs sitting there! They are  a couple of really sweet dogs. People have given these animals such grief, through using them for entertainment and then fearing what we've made them to be.

Avant....yup we all have the spark of God within us! The world would
be a better place of we all recognized that!

Avant, that is called enlightenment! Now, do you feel you know
something really great and wonderful? Do you want to share it with others? Jesus said, Go, do, teach and pray! Blessings! faholo

IMHO, that is precisely what Jesus meant.
Also, Moses asked God what he should call Him and God answered "I am that I am". Being. Existence. That Who is simply because He is.

One of my favorite movies, "The Neverending Story", has as the great threat to the Universe, "The Nothing". The Un-Being. The non-existence.

Everyone who is is a part and aspect of God.  The parts of us which are empty are not.

Yup...  God is...  (and those two words alone can mean so many different things to each of us but regardless the tiny sentence resonates, doesn't it?)

avant--
whoa is right. This is one of my favorite posts, not just of yours but in the entire 2 1/2 years I've been on Blogit. The trouble with many religions, in my opinion, is that they teach that God is "out there" somewhere rather than within. This post goes so nicely with my SEEING BEYOND post about Samuel wanting humans to understand that we are all one and that we are all living deitys. It's really difficult for human minds to grasp this concept though. You stated it so eloquently though, so perhaps it will help others to understand.

Blessings to you! I'm going to frame this post!

Excellent

conclusion even if there is an element of the devil in the detail!!

Thanks also for your comment on my blog. The winds in the UK have not been hurricane force but we don't seem to have the ability to plan ahead even though we knew they were coming. Maybe its because we just don't believe in the weather forecasts anymore. We did have a hurricane here in 1987 and nobody truly believed it would happen.

Have a great Sunday

Hi Avant
A wonderfully beautiful post, and not only do I appreciate your writing style, I agree with everything that you say, just as Just doesn't. You have planted a seed in my mind to do a post on it today. Thanks friend.

The Kingdom if God is within. Thanks for your visits Avant.

Friend--whatever makes us feel powerful and meaningful in a world outside our understanding or control, --Peace that passeth all Understanding?-- that which takes away the negative and make us believe in opur own HOPES, that is God.

This view also gives added meaning to our excuse for doing negative things: The devil made me do it. (never God, LOL)

Shalom, best wishes-Neil
