That sounds like an interesting trick.  However, this guy wasn't asking for anything material.  He was just wanting guidance, or so it seemed.  And I was the only person who even talked to him.

That is rather odd...

Now here's a trick for panhandlers in a crowd.  If they bother you, just suddenly yell ,"ow, you stepped on my toe!" and hop around and yell some more.  You will get attention and the bum will have to retreat.  My brother-in-law perfected this trick and it works.
