Scoop....

The higher minimum wage is a feel-good law. A slight increase will pass because politicians and poverty activists will be able to say they have 'done something' for the poor...........while the victims of the policy go unnoticed.

Those who can't find jobs because they produce too little are not likely to blame the law or the politicians who tried to 'help' them. Then the resulting unemployment will justify expansion of the welfare state.......

This is a good post and I agree that many workers move on

to better paying jobs but also there are many that can't for various reason so I have mixed feelings on the minimum wage.

Many large stores have very few full time workers and work their part timers just enough hours so they don't have to pay benefits which then puts a strain on things like Medicaid.

Glennb...
Frankly, it's not always easy to find the subject matter of your comments.....

Corbin_Dallas,
If you could stay with the subject matter you would not get bent out of shape! The ability of you people to go straight to a talking point or selling point makes me wonder about the intelligence! What happened to that "superiority" thing?

Corbin_Dallas,
Blamed by who? Or whom? Why do you people make things up as you go?

Corbin_Dallas,
What is wrong with you people? How can you link an increase in minimum wage to the collapse of humanity? This corporate media is full of qualified people?? Yeah right!

The liberals won't ever face facts like you post here.

That's all mind-boggling to me. I suppose that there are people that live all their life on minimum pay wages and then retire to living totally on Social Security only but like you say, its a political game for the those in the dough.
