It seems that no matter how long a person is sober the danger never goes away. My dad was sober 20 years and we thought he had it made and then one day.......
It was over five years before he was sober again. His doctor always thought that his alcohol consumption probably had something to do with his onset of Alzheimers Disease later even though he had again been sober for over ten years.
