Hi, mneme.  I want to thank you for the many times you've come to visit me.  I'm happy you enjoy the jokes, etc. that I post.

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks, Ypunday
- happens to us all eventually :) though I secretly believe I have been doing this sort of thing for most of my life. Good thing my guardian angel is on the ball.

Thanks Marie-Claire,
it doesn't bother me being blocked, only that the comments were made in the first place. ho hum.. I'm trying to think of something to write about.. for now it's bedtime.

Mneme, you have just witness the pettiness of blogit in full bloom.
I am sorry to see such unkind comments being thrown around, i don't wish to know where they originate from or which potential target they are getting at, I just think there is no place for such childish behaviour. Blocking is a gutless thing to do anyway! I can't be bothered with all that nonsense. Let us be kind to each other, we may still exercise our rights to disagree without being piloried for it, whatever happened to democracy and freedom of speech?

Yes, by God, yes. Nothing exactly like it, but similar for sure. Merry Xmas

and happy New Year

I find myself blocked from another member's blog,

agitator that I am, so I will quietly leave my thoughts here.  I happened to read something in the 'new comments' posted today, which I thought were uncalled-for.  I object to seeing another member being referred to as a "stupid-ass brit."   Why do people do this? There's no need. If you have something to say, say it to the person directly. Don't hide it in your blog comments and then block that same person so that they can't answer you.

- in case there should be any misunderstanding, I am not talking about anyone commenting in my blog. I so appreciate each and every one of you. I joined blogit to write and to participate in healthy exchange. Let's hope the atmosphere improves very soon.

Hi Bhaskar..
now that's solidarity... but you will have these 'moments' soon enough yourself, it comes to us all - A.D.D. for the mature years.

there's a first time for everything, they say - I don't mind becoming a dotty old lady one day. meanwhile I settle for dotty middle-age.

Tanga,
I can't remember the last time I saw a petrol station with attendants. It's nice when the kids are old enough and keen enough to fill up for you.

Wiley,
that sounds like something I would do too. Nice to see you :)

I can't say that I've done that before. LOL
Though, as my lifetime is not over yet, I guess there is always the possibilty.

Nope
We still have petrol attendants here filling our vehicles.

Well sweetie, I don't do the facials luv. But, I have gone in to use the loo-;) and then went to the cash to pay without having filled up. lol

azur,
I thought so too; my place also gives you a hand massage while you relax under the face mask or whatever it is they put on.. helps loosen the fingers after all that typing.

This sounds just like the kind of thing I would do
Mind you I haven't done this yet....

Monthly facial, what a good idea!

taps, I'm intrigued - what was it? I promised I wouldn't laugh..!  I can remember having to pay up front for petrol (or gas) when I lived in NC. I also remember the attendant patiently explaining to me that you have to lift the lever on the pump, once you've put the nozzle into the tank, to start the gas flowing - I was standing there completely bemused, wondering why nothing was happening.

tonyzonit, that was lucky.. I will have to watch I am not subconsciously influenced to do the same when preoccupied (which is often).

johnmacnab, I think trying to pay for petrol you haven't bought yet and without the car constitutes a worthy 'senior moment'.. care to elaborate..?

muser, I'm as forgetful as this nearly every day...!  and for the first few months in the US I got into the car on the passenger side to drive, then coming back here I did the reverse for a while.

Here in our town these days, everyone has to pay before they pump or else use a credit card.  Since gas went so high, they are afraid people will pump and run without paying.   I won't tell you what I did yesterday that was so dumb.  If I decide to fess up, it will be worth a whole post.  HAHAHA

No, Mneme, I haven't done that, but only a few months ago...
... I went to a petrol station in Torquay and twice found after I'd connected the car to the pump, there was no petrol in those pumps (there were no signs telling me that). We were in a rush, so the second time it happened I got so mad that I drove off to find another pump that had petrol in it without disconnecting the pump from my car! Luckily the thing just kind of snapped in two without any damage to my car or the garage property, and a lady came out and fixed it straight away.

mneme, I've done that without the car!

Hi, mneme! I can't say I've tried to pay for phantom gasoline...LOL! BUT, I
can't tell you how many times I've walked away after paying for my groceries...without my groceries!
