A Democratic majority still means they can pass bills. George W. Bush has yet to use his veto power, he simply uses the highly controversial and some say illegal "signing statements", which may yet be challenged in the Supreme Court.
Don't gloat yet. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is not the lame duck, George Bush is. For the next 24 months til 2008 elections, I doubt he'll get much done.
