How was the physical or virtual trip?

Sometimes physical stuff helps, Azur....
...when I reached a low, 9 years ago..divorce and family death all within months...for the first time in my life, I thought I was going to lose it.  After spending a day crying so hard it hurt, I pulled myself off the couch, tore the wallpaper off the kitchen walls, scraped everything down to the bare and remodelled.  It's not the same as a canoe, I know, but I was focused on something mindless and it worked.  Good luck for you too, Azur.

water is a woman's medium I think.
I wrote a poem about it once. Something about tides and cycles, and what happens when you dam her. We flow and ebb, and things drop into our minds and ripple outward, bringing reflections of lights in the sky or flights of birds. A freshening breeze bearing promises of a gentle rain can change everything.

A fresh place will often lead to fresh ideas and fresh resolve.
Try that water.

good for you to keep at it, to try new things. success is always preceded
by failures so you're just taking the necessary steps to succeed.  good luck.

Look at it from the law of averages and I think the statistics will show...
....that you are due a break soon!

Azur
How quaint. I have two co-workers who kayak regularly and they love it. Have a great time.

Azur, I love kayaking, it's very invigorating to be so close to the water.
The kayak itself moves so easily in tune with body movements and the paddle.  I don't do it often now, just rentals, but getting out into nature is my favorite pastime.
