You can afford comfort to one girl with this experience of yours - homegirl. She needs just someone like you at the moment.

mysteria, when will be your next couple? of hours of soooo much of crying?

posted by Bhaskar.ing on August 22, 2006 at 10:33 PM | link to this | reply

crying is healthy

I cried everyday for four months a couple of years ago.  I decided I did not want to be responsible, I am 64 and had my first kid at 17.

I got a divorce, left the puppies with him, sold the house, quit my business, put the money in the back and got rid of everything except my SUV, five boxes, my computer and some clothes.  I went and stayed with my grown kids, the three of them just loved me while I was crying.  I would stay with one for a while and then another.

It was the best thing I ever did.

I am tremendously glad I had the guts to do it.

I have my husband back, a sweeter man you could never find, a gorgeous house, and lots of stuff.  Rebuilt my business and really learned that nothing real can be threatened.  Hot damg.

Here are the first few lines of a poem I wrote about crying.

"Wash your eyes

With these tears of regret

Wash your soul

With this liquid hope."

Yes, stress can play a major factor. It influences our emotions so much.

it doesn't take much to push my emotions over the edge and spill a few, particularly when stress is added to the mix.

Rcky....It was beyond me that I even had any problems until one
day my best friend had commented that I never show emotions of any kind....when everyone else was crying over a sad movie.  It was kinda like a wake up call.

posted by Afzal_Sunny7 on August 22, 2006 at 10:47 AM | link to this | reply

I cried almost all day the other day...
But it will be a very long time before that happens again, it is definately not easy for me to cry.

That's good Sunny..I agree with Passionflower, it is good for our emotional
health and it is good for our soul.

Rcky...I don't think I've seen that one. But I've seen one similar to that.
I've never been like that. I was always emotionally pented up.  My mother wouldn't accept me crying for any reason when I was a child.  I learned quickly not to show emotions of any kind.
I'm trying to gradually break out of that pattern now.

Welcome back

Hi Sunny......I am extremely sensitive and cry at the drop of a hat.
Which is a bummer because it has caused me much embarrassment throughout my life. It reminds me of the movie Bedazzled when Brendan Frazier's character cried every time he looked at the beaufiful sunset and his girlfriend found that quite annoying.

I am the same way.  Well, there are a few that I can cry around, well, usually without choice, and mostly men, because they have hurt emotionally in some way.
Shhhhhhh

that would be last night... but don't tell anyone.
I only cry when alone.   When with others, I don't feel as much.  Everything gets put aside.

Offy, was this the lake nephew? You haven't said anything bad
to my knowledge, have you?
Or is he just one of those people that doesn't like to be talked about, period?

Offy, that's really sad, especially comming from family.
You don't expect that they should do something so cruel.  Have you had any luck with recovering your posts?  I'm sorry for all that you've lost.

Afzal...sorry to hear that.
My experiences are quite similar, only that I was never allowed to cry as a child, so things got bottled up inside me until something finally broke. Now it's very difficult for me....even when I desperately need it.
