You're right, the pain hasn't gotten any better, but I have learned to deal with it somewhat. I still talk to him though, which is good.

My condolences on the loss of your father ...
It has been my experience that the old adages are incorrect, and that the mere passage of time alone does not necessarily soften the blow.
