The first Krispy Kreme opened in 1937 in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Vernon Rudolph bought the recipe from a French chef in New Orleans. He sold to local grocery stores and when people starting stopping by the shop asking to by warm donuts from him, he cut a hole in the wall and started selling to the customers. Hmmmm wonder if that is the first drive through LOL

I was talking to a friend in St. Paul, who was telling me about the
mini-markets they have. Here we have 7-11, AM/PM, and Circle K, and I don't think any of those exist in the Midwest.
