Even Clinton probably wouldn't have won

without help from Ross Perot.  It's unlikely (though horrifying) that Hilary or Algore will be our next president.

A Dem candidate to the left of Rudi or McCain would lose big.  Even if the Republicans nominate someone less moderate, I think they'd still win.

TAPS, Original to me as far as I know. Just came to me as I was in a hurry
sneaking a quickie blog before the celebration lunch at school, last day!

kingmi, I have to ask.  Is that Kawlija moniker for Gore original with you?   I haven't seen it in reference to him before.   It is hilarious.

Corbin, you make vert good sense here. You are changing my thinking
On this. I think Gingrich adds a whole new element to the 08 campaign. Rice in any capacity is a winner. Her work so far as SecState has been stellar!

When we swing to the middle we lose.....Ask Bush 1, he campaigned to the right and governed to the center and it was bye-bye Bush.

Ask Ford with his appointment of Rockefeller as VP....... he turned off the Conservative right and they stayed home...........

Both Reagan victories and both Bush 2 victories were the results of the party moving to the right.....not to the middle.

Clinton's victories were the result of his moving to the middle, which was actually to the right since the party was way left.  Do you see the pattern here?

America is basically a more  Conservative country......the GOP Congress needs to realize that soon, very soon.

A Rice-Gingrich ticket would be a wonderful one.........
