bel 1965

A lovely story on your name, good for both of you. Love is just grand.

I am sorry to read of your PTSD and other complications that result from war service, for both of you soldiers, because in many ways you both faced death.

For a time you face the death of closeness, the nourishment of love, and whether in uniform away from home, or facing all the battles of living alone at home, the lovers are not being properly nourished.

And now you can take joy in the answers to your longings.

"In the will of man there is a power of longing which turns the mist in ourselves into sun." KG

For me it is the feminine that holds the sun in her face.

Dry your eyes now, and let him see the sun in your face, through the mist of his own tears.

Hi Bel
This just goes to show that a deployment (especially to a known danger spot) also strongly affects the one who stays behind.  The stress burns in both directions; it can't be easy on anybody.  I'm glad for you both that the deployment is over and that you're now able to carry on with your lives together.   Nice backgrounder on your name change, too.  It's touching and it makes sense now that Military_Wife can be replaced to reflect the new status of your lives.  I like Bel

I wondered about the change, but I never ask about such things. I must confess, I like this name better than the previous one. "bell" says more about who you are rather than what you are like "Military Wife."
