Don't worry, Kyra ...
you're pretty much talking to the queen of "rambling blather".
Sometimes, even I get tired of hearing myself babble.

Oh! I agree...
6 is a wonderful number, especially when next to 9, but that's a whole different ....ummm...
Anyway, I was just babbling about the importance of numbers, the religious significance and the order of things.
I babble, Madame, my apologies.

Actually, brettnik ...
I almost always guess 6. (And, when I don't, I go with 9.)
Meanwhile, it's awfully difficult to rank #1 any lower than 2nd.

I agree about the number 7 being #1, but I think 3 is #2
and I don't much care about the rest of them. If I ever ask you to pick a number from one to 10, it's 7 or 3. Luckily, I work with young people and they never catch on to that fact.

Actually, I consider this THE definitive list.
In fact, I'm putting together a petition to
officially change the numerical order ... just as soon as I figure out who to send it to. I'm thinking either the President or the Pope.

Good choices. Every individual has his own reasons for his preferences.
Congratulations, you have the Blogger's prize here.

I love 27, too, Billy ...
as well as, numbers 20, 22, 23, 24, 26 & 29. (I could do without 25 & 28.)
Of course, none of those were applicable here.

I'm aware of that, Mason ...
and,
if you haven't seen it yet, rent "Pollock" starring Ed Harris: the best movie about an artist ever filmed.

It was a close call, David ...
and, certainly, there
are some instances (in life) where 3
is better than 1.

"11" just missed the cut, Nanaroo ...
though, it's practically a
lock to appear on the "Ten Best Numbers From Eleven To Twenty" list.

As I indicated in an earlier comment, Freelancer ...
think Jackson Pollock or, even, Roy Lichtenstein.
Or, for that matter, Dr. Frankenstein.

Not necessarily, Kyra ...
6 is a wonderful number, and should be judged
solely on it's
own merits. It must not be penalized simply for being positioned next to an
even greater number.

I didn't fully grasp Dr. Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" until I read it over,
either.

I like the number 8, it looks like the number signifying infinity
And number 3 would be my second choice!

Makes a person wonder...
Why is number 7 the #1 choice? Could there be some kind of religious (Christian) significance there? Oh, I suppose I can see that, but in relation wouldn't that make number 6 the least on the list?
Things that make you go..."Wha' the fu....?"
*giggles* You've managed to make me giggle again, Madame! Kudos
*giggles again*

This must be an experiment
M.P.O. wants to see if she could just post anything and still get 50+ comments.
Well, I, for one, am way too smart to fall for it. Just because you're attractive and a good writer doesn't mean I don't insist on reading and commenting on only posts with some thought and substance behind them. I will never comment on this nonsense. I....D'OH!

I'm interested in knowing
How this list was determined. It would seem an individual thing, like colors, we each have our favorites for one reason or another. People who are the middle of the road may like 5 for instance. This post got me thinking though.

Dear MPO... Hmmm. I don't know this. Anyway, I as far as I know No. 8, is of the favourites because it is the only number with a closed writing, no opening. regards.. Prof
