Sometimes people have to step away from their passions to appreciate them.  I don't think it is so strange.  And by the way, what's wrong with painting your boss in flaming effigy :).

I don't know that people around here would know what a blogger is.

You lost me there! Are you saying that if you say, "I'm a blogger," no one will know what that is? (I have a feeling most people will.)

I guess many people wouldn't want to say, "I have a blog!" to their co-workers, because then the co-workers would pester them endlessly to read the blog, which may be filled with anti-co-worker diatribes.

However, I don't think the office would explode in scandal if someone said, "I love to write" or "I keep a journal and writing in it is very important to me." You're just not saying that the journal can be found on line! And actually, I know several people who are avid journal-writers who do not publish their journals. Some of them make hand-written, hard-copy combinations of journals and scrapbooks.

Bunny...
Yes, that is odd.  But, how many people even know what a blogger is?  I recently printed out several of my posts and gave them to my mother.  She enjoyed them, and now has an idea that we are a buch of on-line columnists.
