Maybe you need to trust yourself...
Give it a little "think." Then "dash off" the plan or project. You've been at this long enough that your sense memory and your automatic, highly trained ability will see you through. Circling and re-doing and censoring, re-editing, etc. eventually sucks the spontaniety and joy out of it, leaving a cardbord frame and dull, proper finished thing nobody can relate to. Maybe I'm putting my own experience into this, and it has nothing to do with how you work.
