Ca88,
That is awful! To have only 3 players left on court ,akes for a difficult game.

Taffy,
You are correct, I made no response. I  often find that people who are rude enough to make comments like hers will make even uglier ones should I respond.

I'm hoping for better days for you.

OUch!
It's hard to believe that woman made that comment to you!  How was it her business what time your son came to practice?  I don't think you said what your response to her was.  I think perhaps you didn't say anything?  If so, that took a lot of restraint and I applaud you for that.  I seem to drop everything now that I have a witness to my clumsiness.  I'll be in the kitchen cooking and my husband will come and say "why are there onions flying all over the floor."

Sometimes sport can break spirits as well as bones. Last night my son played basketball. Only five players turned up for his team, the other team had nine. By the last two minutes my son's team had two players fouled off and were playing with three. They lost by 6 points. The worst was when the coach of the other team told them if they had seven players they would have won by heaps - and they realised he was right.

Find a quiet
place in your mind and allow your breathing to slow to a nice, regular pace, just for a few minutes. Drive that air down into your lungs. Then imagine a place full of vibrant colour and noise. Explore it and lose youself in it: feel the energy. I think you'll feel refreshed afterwards.
