UtahAngel22,
Thank God He is in charge.

I've learned more about chemo tonight from a newspaper article, and I'll write a post tomorrow about it.

Cancer is ugly and horrible
And however you beat it, that's the only thing that matters. God is ultimately in charge and if He wants someone with him, there is no one who will stop him. But if it's not that person's time to go, then I say bring on the carrot juice!

Timmytales,
I'll pray for your Dad.

God bless you both.

They are suggesting a local chemo. Not sure what his wishes will be yet, he is still recovering from the surgery

Timmytales,
My heart goes out to you, too.

What kind of treatment is your Dad choosing?

I feel for ya.....my dad is currently going through the same thing. They just operated but did not "get it all"

Ariala,
Thanks, on behalf of Zelma.

Unfortunately, I think Zelma is going with the chemo. I suppose the pressure from the medical "experts" is just so great that most people cave in and take the chemo.

I hope it works for her, but from what I've heard about chemo, I don't see how it can do anything but further harm.

All I can do for Zelma now is pray for her.

I will pray for the guy on Dr. Day's regimen, too.

I've heard of Dr. Day and know a man currently following her regimen. He
has lung cancer and only 3 months to live.  He refuses radiation and is going natural all the way. I pray he'll have the same experience as Faith...my best to your relative.

MayB,
Well, thank God they "got it all"! I don't think the surgery is a bad idea because there are cases when all the cancer can be removed, and health restored.

I'm very happy you're a "got it all" case. One of my church pastors, Sister Jenny, had kidney cancer and the surgery got all the cancer out, and my Uncle Art had colon cancer, where the surgery was successful.

It's the chemo and radiation treatments that makes me jump on my soapbox. I've read the chemo drugs themselves are carcinogenic! Faith told me of one lady she was trying to help get on the healing therapy, but the lady thought she should listen to her doctors and take radiation first. She took the radiation, and the treatment fried some blood vessels in her head and she died of a stroke.

If the world is standing 100 years from now, people will look back and think of chemo and radiation treatments in the same way that we now view how sick people were purposely bled for treatments, many, many years ago.

Songbirdshafer, I know that it works for some but that it is a tough time. It is a shame that some of the money could not go to to furthering progress on alternatives. I am one of the luckiest people around as I had a form of cancer and they "got it all" in one procedure. No chemo so I did not suffer.

MayB,
I get really upset when I hear the horror stories about the chemo treatments. How did it get to be the "standard of care" to further poison an already weakened body?

No matter what the "experts" say about chemo, the whole theory of it just defies simple common sense. I suspected it before, but hearing that Zelma would have to pay $14,000 more to take the treatments confirms to me that chemo is more of a money issue than a treatment issue!

I do think, even if a natural approach failed in some cases, that it's worth doing because it will give better quality of life.

Nice to meet you, MayB.

That is very moving and sad.
Sadly you'll never know in the case of the man who did the mediation. It may have been too later. You know sometimes these healing measures don't buy more time in terms of days and weeks but they can increase the quality of that time which is also so important. At least you know you have done what you could. What will be will be. Take care

Quirkyalone,
Thanks for the prayers for Zelma.

She needs all she can get. I got an e-mail from her this evening, and she's learned that if she takes chemo she'll have to pay $14,000, the part not covered by Medicare. No way does she have that kind of money. Most people don't...she's hoping she can find some kind of organization to help foot the bill. She's also wondering whether to take chemo at all.

I pray she goes with the natural healing program. I genuinely think it's the way cancer should be treated.

Zelma is willing to listen...that is definitely a good start, and with Faith helping her, she has much to be thankful for--I pray, too, that hey can beat this cancer!

Thanks, jojostar
Regarding the diet, the enzymes are critical, I believe. Cooking, the heating process, destroys the healing enzymes in foods. Also, the carrots contain large amounts of beta carotene.

Faith has told me that the carrot juice alone can really ease the cancer pain. That woman would know.

I'm not familiar with Faith's program in detail, except that she drank Essiac and pau dar'co teas, too.

It is my prayer that Zelma skips the chemo and goes on Faith's program.

Great to hear you're vegetarian! I turned vegetarian when I was 19. The only animal products I use are plain yogurt, a little cheese, eggs, and honey. Honey and yogurt are very healing.

Songbird
I too of heard of people beating cancer with vegan and raw food diets. It's something about the enzymes.I don't know how it works but it seems to work, at least for some people.  I found out this week that a loved one of a friend has cancer. I thought about bringing this up. Like you said, many people don't listen and they especially don't listen to me as I'm a vegetarian and I think they percieve it as preaching. I hope Zelma has much success and healing!!!
