Response on Earnings

Your earnings forecast is only a forecast until the 1st of each month when you'll see the exact earnings for the previous month. Furthermore, you may find your earnings' forecast drops (sometimes only temporarily) because of the following reasons:

1. Your existing readers may be reading many more writers recently, thus changing the proportion of your earnings from their writer payment for the month.

2. The number of page views counter shows you how many page views you have had and not the number of unique readers, nor does it reflect how much you earn from each unique reader.

So, for instance, if last week one of your readers had only been reading your writing since their monthly cycle started, your forecast would include 100% of their writer payment. If they continued to read you (thus increasing your page views) but also started to read a second writer equally often, then suddenly your earnings from that one reader alone would be halved.

3. And, finally, since each reader's subscription fee is divided between writers at the end of that particular reader's monthly cycle, it may take up to two months for writers to receive all of their earnings from a new reader. For example, if a reader visits your blog on October 25, and their monthly cycle ends on November 20, their payment will be included on your December 1 statement.

As we explain on the Blogit Help page titled, Earning Money:

The  Writer's Account Summary includes the forecasted earnings for the current month. This forecast is calculated by estimating all the payments you will receive from readers by the end of the month, based on how often each reader currently reads your blogs.

Since people change their reading habits over time, please note that the forecast is subject to change and is only intended for informational purposes. Your final statement, issued at the end of the month, will show your actual earnings.

The Blogit Help page on Increasing Readership, Rankings and Earnings includes suggestions that may help increase your blog's readership, which in turn helps improve rankings and earnings.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
