Kingmi
A strange form of hysterical, gibbering madness seems to overtake huge swathes of the American population if aught goes awry ; whipped up to a frenzy by you story hungry media of course.
If I had my way, I would force everone in America to read my Veteran's Day piece on my blog, to find out how lucky they are ; and how appallingly bad things were for America, and the world, in 1941.
Bad times? Modern ( anyone under the age of 70 ) Americans just don't know bad times ; neither does anyone in any of the other democracies. Read you history books ... and be ashamed
