Oh, I sure his comments were well thought out...it's what they are based on that makes them just wrong. He was a horrible president.......
"Stagflation" = double digit inflation and interests in the upper teens.....yep.....
"Those were the days my friend.......We thought they'd never end......"

but that doesn't mean his opinion isn't well thought out

So his having a new book coming out has nothing to do with his little tirade tour across the morning shows? Hmmmmm?

I have to agree with JollyJeff. Do I agree with Jimmy Carter...no. But I have a great deal of respect for the man and I believe he spoke what he truly felt in his heart. He is one of the few that I have no question about his politcal motives. He stands for he believes and I do respect that.

I respect Jimmy Carter
more than any other political figure. What he says carries extra weight with me. He doesn't criticize willy-nilly, only when he's truly thought about what he is saying.

Now you're exposing another one of your misconceptions. You must think that because he was "born again" that his passes muster on all of his actions.....Jane Fonda, a few years ago was also "born again"......but apparently it didn't "take" so to speak. Our religious convictions are not maintained by some secret handshake, password, or in secular terms ...."which pocket we wear our handkerchief ".
But that's OK....I don't expect you to understand personal choices when it comes to faith ....I just expect you to respond in the typical secularist fashion...by belittling ones personal faith.
That's one of the reason I tend to avoid religious discussions......my faith, and trust in that faith are my own....and I don't need to debate it with anyone else............
And on Carter......now there's a source for information on foreign policy.........LOL

Funny you should bash Jimmy Carter ...
he was the first presidential candidate to proclaim himself born again!

Corbin - Good One!
Should they ride a balloon or be balloons. They are so full of hot air either would float right now. This is such a bottom feeding move. I believe Jimmy boy has gone AWOL intellectually. I can't believe such a crass happening is going on right here in the USA. All the more reason for anyone who is above being a thief would certainly want to be a Republican. So totally uncouth and immoral.
