In All Seriousness...
For me, it's not a matter of being lazy. For me it's a matter of cleanliness. I mean, think of all the people who use the toilets in public places. Think of how many of those people do not wash their hands after use. Now think of those same people, using the bathroom beforehand, not washing their hands, going to the mall, using the mall bathroom, flushing, not washing their hands again...yadda, yadda.
Do you really want to be flushing--TOUCHING--the same toilet after they have defiled it?
When I go to public bathrooms and have to physically flush, I flush with my shoe. I WILL NOT touch the toilet. Even with my butt! I wipe the seat with toilet paper, put down the seat liner, and still squat. I just will NOT touch those nasty things!
Then, when I wash my hands afterward I won't touch the knobs on the sink other than to turn the water on. When I turn the water off, it is always with a paper towel I have prepared beforehand. Then with that same towel, I prepare myself another towel with witch I will actually dry my hands.
So, I like the restrooms that have auto-flushing toilets and auto-on sinks. It's a lot cleaner that way.
