An update, Jan 10, 08
In fact, we have not moved, though the household has changed with the youngest kid, Charlie, now 23, off to college, and with the arrival of Davy Dog, a new and noisy energy, like an exuberant toddler! The girls are grown and both very far away with households of their own.

A touching story. I've had similar encounters with grounded spirits that helped me more than once. I had a spirit interfere once and disconnect the line when I was about to make a mean-spirited remark to my wife. It was a blessing and I was fond of him ever since.
