DeadMan, see! I knew it!
There's the word that isn't a word, and it wasn't first on the list, but the first you clicked....it's funny because the first bunch to comment were men. Hmmm....guilty consciences? ...lol... Men were drawn to the title for some reason. Thank you.
This is one of my favorites, too....getting good work out of bad men, er, experiences.

Thank you. :) Not relevant enough to hurt though, my guard was up. I'm good, he's mr. blackheart. :) Ha ha! Have you noticed how many more men came to read this poem? I wonder why? Should we do a case study to see why they were intrigued by the title? ;)

I had to giggle when I read your comment. You sounded a little guilty of something. Hmmm? Stories to tell? Thank you for the props, but mr. blackheart doesn't feel much me thinks. At least he doesn't allow himself to think about it, so this would probably have no effect. You know, no spiritual growth, all business. Shame is not a word in his vocabulary. But, he was fun to play with until he went psycho! ;) Good poems mean nothing is wasted. :)

A nice slap in the face, that stings for a long, long time, and lingers like a nagging shame. So, I guess what I'm saying is - well done :)

Yeah, I really liked achestorm, too...it just popped into my head. I never take credit for those things...comes from somewhere else. You are so right about that shield, keeps out the bad but keeps us from the good, too. I'll just have to keep feeling the bad so I can keep all the goodies. :)

Psychologically insightful
and well worded: I liked "achestorm" and also "
warmth seeks you but slips off smooth hands." Sometimes I don't think we realize how much our shields actually desensitize us... -M
