LOL!  The good thing about him being gone for so long..is that I can probably get away with just about anything and not have him mind LOL!

Well,
maybe you can tell him that b/c you missed him so much, you felt kinda closer to him this way. It's a stretch, but it might work!

If anyone complains, just tell them that your second choice was bright pink. Then, ask them if they like it or not.

LOLOL!  Now all I have to do is convince HIM to love it.  I was really upset at first because I was positive he would hate it...but you know, I figure after a year in the desert...he won't mind it so much.  I love color...I hate white walls and rooms... So, I will play with the colors I can include and maybe he will be more stunned by the light purple curtains than he will the army green walls LOL!  It really does match nicely.

Enough to require 2 gallons of paint for to cover the walls with one coat.  Seriously at this point, it's done...I had to vent and I feel better, the more I look at it the more I see what can be done with it...and if hubby really hates it...HE can repaint it LOL!  The truth is "I" happen to like the color, I jsut don't want him to hate it.

The problem for me now is partly money but mostly TIME.  I need to have this done so I can get the flooring in before my husband comes home on leave in October...this is supposed to be a surprise for him, because the flooring has been waiting for him to do since LONG before he left and it's sat and gathered dust.  He THINKS he needs to do it when he comes home....the man is hard headed.  The next few weeks for me are so damn busy that I can't take the time to repaint.  I have a nice border with various lighter colors so I will simply tie in with those for curtains, etc...  It should be OK, but this is still one of those things that just make you want to bang your head against the wall LOL!

If you bought a high quality paint like Behr, it should go over it in one coat! does that help???

I don't want blue I want green....acutally I want SAGE.  I am hoping the lighter colored border and the wall hanging will make it less harsh....but of all shades of green to get!!!!

That's funny!  Reminds me of one of my favorite "store-bought" outfits when I was a teen...it was Army green....my dad hated it...and it went so great with my auburn hair!  Isn't there a pretty blue you can put over it that will come out a nice color?
