Although, I'm not exactly sure what...
Backus' death can really teach us.

We learn as we go along.

Sadly, I believe, Backus died...
of a horrible, debilitating disease. Cause I saw some real cheesy made-for-TV movie called "Gilligan's Island: Behind the Laughter" (or something), in which they re-enacted his final performance. Which, ironically, was actually during a "Gilligan's Island" made-for-TV movie.

Thank you
for the kind words, word.smith!

Hey! This was the most comments I've ever been compelled to respond to! That must be a good sign!

You know, when I first started, I didn't even realize people were allowed to answer comments in their own blogs!

Oh, I see, kingmi.
Wasn't the dad played by the billionaire from "Gilligan's Island"?

We can only hope, Joe Love,
we can only hope.

By the way, thank you for adding me to your people list! (Or, I should say, starting one with me.) I truly appreciate it!

Even if, you never actually answered my question about Rick Pitino's amazingly incredible hair growth!

Madame, It was Mr. Magoo that I liked. The dad.
And I was like eight years old when it came out.  1958.  We saw it at the the drive-in.  Very powerful!

I generally trust the government, Layla...
just not on anything important.

Glad to see your blog was updated! Seemed like you were gone awhile. But maybe it just felt that way. Oh, well! I guess I should probably go ahead and cancel the search party.

Although, they may still be needed to locate "Mandinka".

Don't get me wrong, SillySoul88,
I love Michael Moore... I just don't trust a word he says. (The same way I feel about my "hero", Nancy Grace.)

However, "Roger and Me" was absolutely brilliant! As was "Bowling for Columbine" (though to a lesser extent).

kingmi,
you may feel that I rock slightly less, when I tell you that I actually found "Rebel Without A Cause" somewhat stiff and dated. I'm sure I would have reacted differently had I seen it when it first came out though. (Some movies simply don't age well.)

Either way, you gotta love James Dean!

What were they straining?? Hmmmmm. More noodles for the chili??

Love the format you have here.
Funny stuff.

Straining is NEVER a good sign...
And I wouldn't worry about Mad Cow--after all, our OWN government has reassured us that EVERYTHING is fine and there is NO NEED for alarm.  I mean, come on, if we cannot believe our OWN illustrious band of elected crummudgeons, then who CAN we believe!???  Any thoughts, there, Madame???   ~LB~

lol Fahrenheit 9/11

Being a native of Flint, MI Michael Moore is someone I actually listen to, Super Size Me there is some truth to it, and other half-truths, but of courses it wouldn't be entertaining with just the truth. Oh and the real Axel Rose I’m sure is in a stoners coma somewhere in New Mexico. lol. ~Silly

Madame, Hey Rebel Without A Cause is my favorite all-time describe-the-

culture-shift between the Eisenhower years and the Kennedy's.  What a film!  It brings out the frustration born of idleness, even though the parents think they are providing "the good life".  Mom and pop can't understand why the kids only want to have fun, and the kids only want to have fun!

Thanks for your nice comment on my FLW blog!  You rock.

Don't believe everything you see, SillySoul88...
"Super Size Me" was pure fiction! Not unlike "Fahrenheit 9/11", the Kennedy assasination, the Moon landing and the supposed "re-union" of Guns N' Roses! (That was not Axl!)

Yep Food Poisoning
IT amazing how I gamble with my body whenever I eat fast food. Sadly even after watching Super Size Me, I still can't let go. Oh well I guess I'll just have to keep an exliar on me at all times. lol. Take care. ~Silly
