Benzinha, in this case it would involve less pain to write an essay than mark them all

After several months with broadband, I was sitting at a dial up
and kept thinking the damn thing had frozen... I would go nuts, and possibly even do some housework if I lost my broadband! Even though it goes down sometimes quite a lot... Our phone is on it, too... so when it's down, no phone, either...

Thank god for wifi...
When I am having problems w my home connection, I can log on at Starbucks, Borders, on campus, and various other places...I posted an essay recently that discussed how much of my life centers around the net these days, and I'd go crazy without access...That is the trap of information technology...
Hope your class is going well...

We're on DSL, which out Telecom refers to as "broadband" - usually around 256Kbps, which is rathe "baby-step"ish from what I gather reading stuff from overseas. The alternative is wifi (801.2b/g), called Woosh. But that's so up and down that I wonder why anybody bothers with it. But, in sympathy with your problem, we had to use dialup (56K) for almost 4 weeks - it was a strain compared to even DSL!

I'm on satellite link and
it has a tendency to go down on a regular basis. There are times though when it seems that the dial up works faster than the satellite. I wish I could DSL out here, maybe one of these days.

Marking 100 papers sounds
like quite a challenge. I hope you get a fair amount of writing done.
