How cool, Jems!

Let me know what the name of the phobia for peanut butter is. I'm a curious kitty, you know.

I can't remember the name of it, but . . .

The best phobia I've ever heard was the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth.

Now I'm going to have to go look at all my phobia sites to find the name of it. (I've done lots of phobia research for a book I am working on.)

No doubt about that, T-99, better safe than sorry!!

It could be Michael Myers (Halloween) Freddy Kruger, or one of the freaks from Texas Chainsaw Massacer under there. I think of it this way: my dogs may not even be able to smell or detect a fictional killer under the bed, so hey, why not just be safer and keep my legs, arms and feet ON the bed!!

I know, it's silly.  But as long as it doesn't hurt anything, I just follow it to safety.  Who knows - maybe one day, it will prove to be useful.  (Wishful thinking at it's most paranoid *lol*)

T-99, I know, it's weird, isn't it?
I still can't drape my leg or foot over the edge of my bed. Who did this to us?? Our imagination? Our siblings? god, it's awful being an adult that still can't handle the feelings that there may actually be a monster under the bed! (or a madman of some sort!)

Oddly enough, that doesn't help.  I've done that in the past, and it doesn't change the feeling I get.

Interesting, WitchF...
I have a few serious fears, but witches never tell. However, my minor ones are more like obsessions like your pen theory. I always have to know what time it is and when on the road, whether I'm driving or someone else is, I have to know the name of the road we're on and what town, too. It's a control issue, I think!!

Well, T-99, don't forget to check under the bed before you
go to sleep tonight. Ya just never know.

Great Post!

Mine are fear of snakes (Ophidiophobia or Snakephobia) and fear of being without a writing instrument, primarily a pen.  I don't like pencils (I don't, however, fear them).  I am obsessive about collecting pens.  Have several in my purse, in the vehicles, and in many spots in the house.  Not sure what you'd call that.  I used to call it scriptophobia, but discovered that is fear of writing.  I have the fear of not writing, so maybe it is antiscriptophobia or something.  Can't wait to hear more.

I'm guessing it's leftover from some kind of memory - either from childhood or a previous life when someone actually DID grab one of my legs, and now when I recreate that scenario, it sends chills down my spine.

Holy crap, T-99! That two leg thing is a bit, um, odd!!
How could a monster not grab one of your two legs? But, that mirror thing, I don't have that one but I can surely understand it. Remember that childhood game (we usually played it during slumber parties) called "Bloody Mary?"  If you played it as a kid, I bet that's where the mirror in the dark thing came from!

I have a fear of having one foot on the ground when I'm getting in/out of bed.   Both feet are safe.  No feet are safe.  But one?  Someone could grab it!  (like any monster under the bed simply wouldn't BE there if both feet are there, or both feet are in bed??)

I also don't like mirrors when it's dark nnd/or scary.   I'm afraid I'll look up and see MYSELF in some horrible condition/mask.

Wait, Ariala and Hollee...what's up with the fear of biscuits?
I'm happy to say I don't understand that one. Enlighten me??   Ponder

Hollee, I'm sorry to hear of your fears...
and I'm also sorry to inform you that yes, the dolls are indeed talking about you and planning your demise. Good luck with that, though, K?

Cool, katray!! Welcome to the Nutjob club!
Actually, I'm afraid of wasps, hornets, bees, and other biting and stinging creatures, so that isn't qualifying you as a nutjob....the Pillsbury Dough Boy is.

I have the biscuit can fear also - weird. I also have a fear of clowns and
mimes - they scare the hell outta me. Hate dolls - they freak me out big time. I think they're talking about me - staring at me, planning my death.

Hilarious Spitfire. I have waspophobia. Not bees, hornets or any other buzzers, just wasps. I think I may also have Ariala's phobia of biscuit cans too. I actually cringe when I have to open one. They seem so explosive.

Yay!, I'm pretty nutty too, ay??

I didn't need to know his fears to know Thornton was weird.  Have you read about his relationship with Jolie?   Very weird.

I have a fear of the bats in my attic - thousands of them by the sound!

As far as the genophobia - haha - One would have to meet my ex-wife and understand my pain from the past!! LOL
