V When she got home, the dog was at the door to greet her. Klaire followed the dog into the kitchen, where she made some coffee. She tried to make things as normal as possible, she and the dog, Misha stopping by too, but it was difficult, because quite simply her heart was breaking, waves of pain crashing against her old self.
