Skipped A Day

Uh oh, didn't write a blog post yesterday. I slept a lot. A lot. Guess I must have been tired. I did take a couple photos with the intention of putting them up on here, but didn't do it. Anyway, the last thing I want to do is to start posting photos rather than writing. There are chickens here in Key West that live wild. There is a clubhouse around the corner for AA that I hang out at a lot. There are always chickens in the garden. I have a picture of George and his new girlfriend. George's dad... Keys Picture

Slow Down, You're Not On The Mainland

One of the things that I love most is the laid-back atmosphere here in the Florida Keys. Perhaps it is just a stereotype, everyone living a quiet, mellow, margarita filled life straight out of a Jimmy Buffet song, perpetuated only to fuel the tourist industry, but I don't think so. I see a lot of locals that are peaceful, happy, slow-going folk. A post by TAPS on instant gratification, and the comments she received made me think about this. Writer's Block

Having a hard time writing. Wouldn't you know it would happen this way? Started writing on here over the last week and a half or however long it's been, and got the juices flowing. Even though I may not have said or wrote really all that much, it was flowing. Felt like it would never run out. Then I decided to look into writing for money. As a freelance, on Associated Press, other blogs, wherever. Haven't done any of it yet. If I come up with an idea I overedit it as I'm writing it. To be more... Sign in to see full entry.

Wish Me Luck

It's Easter Open Mike Night at Sippin'. Already have butterflies, probably play at around 8 pm. I like to play a little early before a lot of people show up, but not early enough to where no one is there yet. This week I've picked another 3 Bob Dylan songs to sing and play on my guitar. To Ramona (played it last week, but I love it and it's one of my best), Only A Hobo, and with a little ad lib lead in about the state of the world Masters Of War. This blog is turning out to be about me and people in my life and my doggie too! I am a guy in Seattle. I'm going to retire in a few years and if anything this is the story of how that is going to go- I only hope up!
