Self Honesty

The deception of others is nearly always rooted in the deception of ourselves... When we are honest with another person, it confirms that we have been honest with ourselves and with God. As Bill Sees It It is amazing how much better my life is when I can look at myself honestly. To see what instincts underlie my actions, what the true motivation in my daily routine is. Wind In My Hair

Forgot how much I love riding a scooter in this town. The wind in your hair, the sun on your face, browning your forearms, whipping at your ballcap. Everywhere you go it's green and flowers and old houses. Wide streets and pedestrians. Conch Tour Trains and Old Town Trolleys. Jaywalkers. Aggressive drivers. Slow drivers. Eat And Grin

Starting a new job today, delivering food for a new restaurant called Eat & Grin. It's located on Eaton and Grinnell streets here in Key West. Clever name. They only opened about a week ago and I know the owner. I'm excited to try it out, even though I know that business will be slow owing to the fact that nobody knows it exists. I'll be handing out flyers or delivering them on a scooter, however that will work, and he'll pay me for my time. I have had a lot of delivery jobs in my life. Mostly... Sign in to see full entry.

Happy Birthday Richard

Called up my chess buddy to come over and play. Said he would try to make it, feeling a bit iffy health-wise. A conversation developed about speaking with his only living relative. Apparently it's his brother's 60th birthday, the brother that taught Patrick how to play chess in 1959. So, I called Richard and left him a happy birthday message on his answering machine. Now Patrick says I should come over to his house to play. Lives in a small apartment with his cat and makes art, these drawings... Sign in to see full entry.
