Four in a row!

Detroit beat Oakland 5-1 tonight to take a 1-0 advantage in the ALCS. It’s hard to believe that this is the same team that lost five in a row at the end of the season and got slaughtered by the Yankees in their first playoff game. Buck O'Neil

It saddened me to learn of the passing of Buck O’Neil last week. What disturbed me even more was the report that Buck had been heartbroken by the news that he had missed induction into the Hall of Fame by a single vote.
