Shrills and trills

They are all out there On their deck chairs Rugs, backsides, flagging carpets, On rumpled grass, and sandy beach. I saw them all out there, eating Chatting, swimming, smiling; Siblings, earthlings, ducklings, On a sultry summer evening. There seemed to be some party Going on, no official invitations...
