It Is Pouring

Once again the rain has hit again, and the lightening and the wind. I am going to play it safe, even though I have a power surge and not take any chances. jesse_jean May the Angels of Safety follow you though out the night. Sign in to see full entry.

only 6 more days

My house is a mess, and it's only 6 days until the kids get here for Christmas. I think I need a fairy Godmother to whisk her wand around and clean the place up for me. It's not really that bad, it's just the usual decorating stuff, the paper, the tape etc, not to mention the fact that my cat Baby,... Sign in to see full entry.

I was just wondering ---

How many people sit at their keyboard and try really hard to think about something to write. I have heard of writers block, but never have actually experienced it. I think it is because I always seem to have something to say. However, all I really have to say tonight is Pleasant dreams and may the... Sign in to see full entry.

Those Gentle Giants

By now, everyone has pretty much figured out that I am partial to the Giant Sequoia tree. I have even written a couple of books with the High Sierra's as the home of the main character. I self published it on Lulu.com. OF course, it is full of mistakes. It was my first attempt at self publishing and... Sign in to see full entry.

IS IT POSSIBLE?

The old saying "don't let the bedbugs bite" came from a very earlier era when the roof of a house was made of straw and hay. Animals would curl up to stay warm during the winter, the fleas and mites would fall off, and eventually fall through the straw and hay and into the house on the furninshing.... Children Don"t always ask for toys when they visit Santa.

Good Morning, and Happy Holidays We all know that when children sit on Santa's lap they ask for toys. The toys change from year to year, going from G.I. Joes and Barbie's to Ipods and roller blades. In the past eras, they might have asked for a new slate for school. I want to tell you a story about... Sign in to see full entry.

Today I Dream of Cloudless Skies and Gentle Giants

In my thoughts, my mind leaps back in time. Remembering a giant tree that reached a cloudless sky. How minute I felt on that day I gazed in awe at the sight protrayed. The universe and I alone beside this tree of tremendous size. The energy, the life I felt amongst those trees was overpowering, yet... Sign in to see full entry.

Who is the beast now???

My husband walked through the door after a long day at work with simple words. "I have a surprise in the van. On the way home, I found 5 puppies that apparently have been abandonded. They are dirty, scared and hungry." The grimness in his voice told it all. The disgust held for the humans who had... Sign in to see full entry.

MOTHER NATURE WILL HAVE HER WAY ; YOU CAN BANK ON IT

Some things just never seem to change, yet they do change. It may be in a different way, or a new change of scenery, but if I have learned anything at all in the last 5 decades, it is that the "GRASS IS NOT ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE." It has been a year since I have been on... Sign in to see full entry.
