The Miracle Teams
I remember what it is like to be a Fan-atic from the University of Kansas (KU), your Jayhawk basketball team is behind by 9 points, and it's an elimination game – LOSE, you go home, WIN, you play for a chance to play for the National Championship. The year was 1974. The city was Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was a PomPon Girl for the University of Kansas. There it was. Nine points behind. Three minutes left. Like rigamortus, the defeatist stranglehold was about to set in. I think most on the Spirit Squad...
