"I wonder what's keeping him?" My stomach was grumbling, the dinner was salvagable, the candles would have to be blown out. It was 8:30 and he said he'd be home by 7:00. I had just talked to him, in person, that afternoon. I had created a nice, warm- feeling homecoming with candles, good food, ambience, a beautiful wife.
