Mater Dolorosa
Immediately following the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross is the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows. John Paul II in his encyclical "Redemptoris Mater" (The Mother of the Redeemer) writes that it was under the cross that Our Lady shows herself to be "mother" even for the follower of Christ....
